App Redesign Prototype

Created a concept for the app with new onboarding experience, fixed accessibility issues (green contrast ratio), revamped features, and built a new design system with updated components. Instead of showing static screens, I created this interactive prototype for stakeholders to experience the redesign.

The Problem

Users weren't converting to paid tier, money movement lacked transparency, and the app needed better organization with integrated third-party features.

Subscription confusion

Users weren't aware of paid tiers or benefits. Unclear what was free vs paid.

Deposit flow issues

Money movement didn't explain fees, timing, limits. Major transparency problem for users.

Navigation fragmentation

Bank accounts separate from cards and rewards. Needed unified location.

Third-party integrations

Prizeout gift cards and KashKick games needed contextual integration without overwhelming users.

Platform modernization

Founders wanted improved UX, new onboarding, accessibility fixes (green contrast), and design system.

The Solution

Mapped free vs paid features, created Green/Gold tier system, simplified money movement, unified wallet navigation, integrated third-party partners contextually, and redesigned platform with accessibility improvements.

Key Decisions

Subscription Model: Green vs Gold

Mapped all free and paid features. Created visual tier branding (Green free vs Gold paid). Locked paid features with contextual banners. Added 30-day trial for users to experience premium value before paying.

Transparent Deposits

Simplified deposit flow with detailed breakdown showing fees, money movement, processing status, and handling edge cases with limits and special scenarios.

Unified Wallet

Replaced 'Accounts' navigation with 'Wallet' as single location. Brought together bank accounts, gift cards, and Bond.tech debit card. Integrated card application and activation flows.

Prizeout: Gift Card Marketplace

Introduced Prizeout as marketplace partner in SideHustle category. Placed contextually in relevant screens without overwhelming the platform. Users convert savings to 1,000+ brand gift cards.

Welcome Onboarding

Created new onboarding helping users learn core feature (creating goals). Visual education flows for automated savings, goals, and rewards.

Marketing Banners

Built contextual banner system for feature discovery and promotional content. Self-service templates for marketing team.

Play & Earn: KashKick

Integrated Play category with game list. Each game shows details and instructions before redirecting to partner. Users earn money for savings goals by playing games.
